Characterization of β-Cyclodextrin
The solubility in water is low, at room temperature is 1.85%, and the solubility increases with the increase of temperature. It is not hygroscopic, but it is easy to form a stable hydrate. The degree of hydration between relative humidity and $number is equivalent to 10-11 water molecules per molecule β-cd (moisture content in 13.7-14.8%), and the Hygroscopic isothermal curve is two phases. Insoluble in general organic solvents, but can be slightly soluble in pyridine, two methyl formamide, two methyl sulfoxide and ethylene glycol.
